Dakota Johnson Joins Olivia Wilde’s Upcoming Thriller, ‘Don’t Worry Darling’

You would think that the cast for Olivia Wilde’s upcoming film, “Don’t Worry, Darling” can’t get much better than it already is, with Florence Pugh, Shia LaBeouf, and Chris Pine already attached to star. And yet, it has, courtesy of Dakota Johnson.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Johnson is in negotiations to co-star in the upcoming psychological thriller, “Don’t Worry, Darling,” which will be the directorial follow-up to Wilde’s debut film, “Booksmart.” The exact role is being kept under wraps, but the report claims that the film will follow a housewife (Pugh) in an isolated, utopian 1950s California community that begins to question her surroundings.

Johnson is probably best known for her role in the massive box office hit “50 Shades of Grey” and its subsequent sequels. She also recently starred in the underrated feel-good festival standout, “The Peanut Butter Falcon,” as well as “Wounds” and the upcoming drama, “The Friend.”
